I have struggled for years with frustration about my weight and overall health. Throw in 2 cancer diagnoses and all the crap piled on with survival from those and you get an idea of how my health journey has been. It’s been a war, take no survivors type of war. A never ending battle to be healthy or at least be my preconceived notion of healthy. And then along came Dani. Through her mentorship I am learning simple techniques that are helping me to set and achieve my goals of a healthy lifestyle. When Dani set up her mentorship I was feeling like I had no control, pretty frustrating for an A type personality. Sink or swim is my motto, so I jumped in … only to find myself surrounded by a determined tribe of badass women … gently guided by Dani (and each other) to release the struggle and let the universe keep us all above water. Evidently slow and steady encouragement not only makes you healthier, it teaches you to float.

We all know that we need to exercise and eat healthy but neither of those are going to be sustainable unless you address your mental and emotional health too! I have known Danial for over ten years. During that time, she has become a pillar of strength for my daily life. We started out as coworkers and remained friends though our work paths drifted apart. Over the years I have followed her health lifestyle journey and now start my day with a daily dose of Danial. I wake up and watch her motivational work out videos, either on social media or on BOD. Sometimes her videos are uncoordinated funny work out fails or raw real emotion that share her inner soul. Dani shares the pain and modifiers in work outs from her body ailments and limitations. By sharing these shortcomings, she allows me the viewer to know that we are not all perfect and we strive to be the best we can at our own level. Trying to write about what impact Dani has on my life is not easy. Her truth and honesty in connecting with me has been such a life changer. What she does online and shares, impacts me personally. She is so open with life challenges; she is relatable on so many levels. The days that I feel broken, I can watch her videos or reach out to her personally and receive the support and guidance that she brings as my coach. She is such a strong leader.
